Artisan Dance Studio Policies and Procedures
Having good attendance is important to the progression of the dancer, as each week skills are taught that build on the previous week’s skills. We understand that absences occur. Please contact the studio (phone or email) and notify us if your student is unable to attend class. We can help you decide which class your child can attend to make-up for their missed class.
A written notice must be given to your instructor 30 days prior to withdrawal from dance class. If a withdrawal is made after recital costumes and fees have been charged there will be no refund.
Artisan’s bad weather cancellation policy is not determined by the surrounding school districts. Weather conditions change or improve rapidly. Please check the website, Facebook, or call the studio to see if classes have been cancelled.
Breaks and Holidays
Artisan Dance Studio will be closed for the following:
- Thanksgiving: November 22-24
- Winter Break: December 22-January 6
- Spring Break: March 29-April 7
- Memorial Day: May 27th(Monday classes will have a specific make-up day)
While we want students to wear what makes them comfortable in the classroom, please remember that teachers cannot give appropriate corrections if a student isn’t in appropriate clothing. Please don’t wear street clothes, dancers should wear form-fitting clothes (i.e.)…leotards, tights, leggings, yoga pants, shorts, tank tops. If you have any questions about what clothing or shoes to wear to class you can emailInfo@artisandancestudio.com.
We have a beautiful facility, let’s keep it that way! No Food or Drink in the classroom unless it is water, and also no gum in the classroom. Be mindful, and throw away trash when you are done.
We strive to create a self-affirming and creative outlet for all students. What we want is for this studio to become a community in itself, where we can all invest in each other. If you have any problems please do not hesitate to contact us!
