SHOWCASE 2026

SIGN UP BY FEBRUARY 13TH

We’re excited to bring our adult dance community together for this year’s showcase. This performance is an opportunity to share the work you’ve been building in class, perform in a supportive and energized environment, and experience the unique momentum that comes from being on stage with fellow dancers.

Our 2026 Adult Showcase performance will take place on Friday, May 29th at 7:00 PM at Dominion Middle School. In preparation for the performance, all dancers will participate in an In Studio Dress Rehearsal on Sunday, May 24th at 2:00 PM, followed by an On Stage Dress Rehearsal at Dominion Middle School on Thursday, May 28th at 6:00 PM. Attendance at both dress rehearsals is mandatory and is a required part of the showcase commitment.

💰 Participation Fee

There is a $35 participation fee per dance, which helps compensate instructors for their additional rehearsal and choreography time. Payment is due at your first rehearsal and may be made via check or Venmo (@artisandancestudio). Participation fees are non-refundable once rehearsals have begun.

📌 Showcase Policies & Expectations

  • Dancers may miss no more than two rehearsals per piece. After a second missed rehearsal, the instructor reserves the right to remove the dancer from that piece.

  • Attendance at the In Studio Dress Rehearsal and On Stage Dress Rehearsal is mandatory. Dancers who are unable to attend may be removed from their piece at the discretion of the instructor.

  • Dancers must continue taking regular adult classes at the studio and complete a minimum of 10 classes in their enrolled style(s) prior to the showcase.

    • Dancers who do not meet the 10-class minimum will not be eligible to participate in Artisan’s 2027 Showcase.

  • Student-choreographed pieces may be no longer than 3 minutes.

  • All dances must have a minimum of 4 dancers in order to run. If a piece does not meet this minimum, it may be cancelled or restructured at the instructor’s discretion.

  • Dancers may sign up for multiple pieces, including multiple pieces within the same style. Dancers cannot sign up for multiple pieces that meet at the same time.

  • Once rehearsals are underway, dancers may not drop or switch pieces without instructor approval.

  • Costumes may require an additional out-of-pocket expense. Details will be communicated by instructors once pieces are confirmed.

  • Dancers are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and contribute to a respectful, supportive rehearsal environment.

Showcase 2026 – FAQs

What is Showcase 2026?

Showcase 2026 is an opportunity for Artisan Dance Studio’s adult dancers to take the stage and perform in a supportive and fun environment. Dancers will rehearse on rotating Saturdays or Sundays leading up to the performance, showcasing their hard work and passion for dance!

Who can participate?

Any adult dancer taking classes at Artisan Dance Studio is welcome to join! Whether you're in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, or contemporary, there’s a place for you in the showcase.

What if I miss a rehearsal?

Dancers are expected to attend all rehearsals, with a maximum of two absence permitted. Attendance is crucial to ensure the success of your piece. You’ll also have access to a Google Drive to review practice videos.

Can I choreograph my own piece?

Yes! We encourage dancers to create their own student-choreographed pieces. This is a great opportunity to explore your creativity and share your unique style on stage!

How much does it cost to participate?
